My dad recently passed away, I have two young children who miss their grandpa very much.  They are 7 and 2 1/2. I think this year, we are going to make a cone angel to top the tree, and use a scanned photo of my dad, and more suitable male colors for the angel.  This way my dad can be a part of our Christmas and since I know he is an angel now anyway, he belongs on top of our tree. I just thought that others might feel better at Christmas, if they have lost loved ones, by having a special angel.

This is such a wonderful way to remember a lost loved one.  Thanks for sharing your idea Genelle!
