Creation Story Felt Board Templates

In this section I've put together some simple pages to go with the story.  You can use them in a number of ways (my favorite is as felt board characters):

Use the sheets as...  COLORING PAGES

• simply print the black and white version of each page and allow the children to color them.

Use the sheets as...  PUPPETS

• Cut out each character and tape it to a popsicle stick or an unsharpened pencil.
• If working with a group of children, each one can be a certain character.
  • There are small story parts at the bottom of each page.  The leader can read the parts while the children wave their puppets.  For older kids, they can read the parts themselves.  Then the entire group can say the "Thank-you Lord for the _____ and the _____. God made the World, Amen." part together.

Use the sheets as... FELT BOARD CHARACTERS

• Cut out each character.
• Cut out a small piece of coarse sandpaper and tape or glue it on the back of each character (if you laminated, it will need to be a larger piece of sandpaper).  The sandpaper will allow the characters to stick on your felt board.
• If working with a group of children, each one can be a certain character.
• There are small story parts at the bottom of each page.  The leader can read the parts while the children put their felt board characters up.  For older kids, they can read the parts themselves.  Then the entire group can say the " Thank-you Lord for the _____ and the _____. God made the World, Amen." part together.

Use the sheets as... a CREATION QUILT

Thanks to Anna for sending in this idea:  Instead of using the sheets for a felt board, cut them out and let the children paste them onto squares of construction paper, cardstock or wallpaper.  Punch holes around the outside edges of the squares.  Use a piece of wool to stitch together the squares to make a quilt.
