Samson craft

Samson Toilet Paper Roll Craft

Contributed by Leanne Guenther

Samson was a hero mentioned in the Jewish Torah and in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible.

Samson's gift from God was that he was very strong -- so strong that he was able to kill a lion and push down the pillars of a temple with his bare hands.  Sadly when the temple collapsed, Samson was crushed and killed under it's weight.

Samson's one weakness was his long hair.  He was betrayed by the woman he loved, named Delilah, who was paid to tell the secret of Samson's strength to his enemies.

This is a fun and simple color, cut and paste paper craft that uses a toilet paper roll as a base to give Samson a three dimensional effect.

I made two diffent versions of the craft -- one holding a dumbell so that children remember that Samson was strong.  The other has him holding the "jawbone of a donkey" which was the weapon Samson used to defeat soldiers of the Philistine army.
