DLTK's Bible Songs for Kids
Hallelujah
The tune to the Hallelujah song is the same as the one about the Chicago
fire that is often sung at summer camp: Late last night,, when we were all in bed, old lady Leary lit a lantern in the shed, etc.
Thanks Erin for sending that in!
1,2,3 The Devil's after me,
4,5,6 he's always throwing bricks.
7,8,9 he misses every time.
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Amen.
9,8,7 I'm on my way to Heaven
6,5,4 To live forever more.
3,2,1 With Christ His only son.
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Amen.
OR Thanks to Rebecca for a little variation to the song!
1,2,3 The Devil's after me,
4,5,6 he's even throwing sticks.
7,8,9 he misses every time,
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, I'm free.
9,8,7 I'm on my way to Heaven,
6,5,4 He'll meet me at the door.
3,2,1 Oh, the victory I have one.
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, I'm free.
AND Thanks to Tina and her mom for sending this verse in!
1, 2, 3 He forgave me of my sin
4, 5, 6 The devil lost a fight again
7, 8, 9 God's always on the line
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Amen.
Someone asked me for the tune...
It took me awhile (I don't have the sheet music and I can't sing it to
you *laugh). I searched the internet and couldn't find it anywhere. Anyways, I plunked
the keys on my 3 year old's little piano until I sorted out the tune.
A single letter is a single beat, a double letter is a double beat. It's
